Dan Jago appointed as WSTA chairman

14 September, 2016

Dan Jago, chief executive of Berry Bros & Rudd, has taken on the role of chairman of the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA).

The WSTA has revealed that Jago will take over from current chairman Denis O’Flynn, who announced he would be leaving his roles at both the WSTA and as managing director of Pernod Ricard UK at the end of September. O’Flynn has held the chairman role at the WSTA since 2014.

Jago was appointed chief executive of UK wine and spirits merchant Berry Bros & Rudd in August 2015 and he previously held the role of BWS director at Tesco; Jago worked at Tesco for 15 years, joining initially as category director for beers, wines and spirits in 2006.

The announcement of Jago’s new role was made at the WSTA’s annual conference, which took place in London yesterday.
