Hayman's links with Tiptree to produce gin liqueurs

18 August, 2016

Haymanís Gin has joined forces with premium conserve brand Tiptree to create a range of gin liqueurs.

The three-strong range of Tiptree Gin Liqueurs are made with fruits from Tiptree jam producer Wilkins & Sonsí farm. The trio are being launched in time for the key Christmas period and they come in flavours of English Damson, English Raspberry and Little Scarlet Strawberry.†

Scott Goodfellow, director of Wilkins & Sons, said: ďWe are delighted by the feedback on our new Tiptree Fruit Gin Liqueurs. Gin has made great strides over the last couple of years, and Fruit Gin might just be the next big thing. Our artisanal Tiptree range offers authentic, deep fruit notes with a crisp background of juniper.

ďIt was a natural partnership to team up with original English Gin makers, Haymanís Gin, who share a similar family heritage to us.Ē

The fruit, which has been used to create Tiptree Conserves for the past 100 years, is steeped in Hayman's London Dry gin to create the liqueurs. Haymanís Gin uses a trusted blend of ten botanicals to create its classic London Dry in a copper pot still called Marjorie, named after founder Christopher Haymanís mother.

The liqueurs are 28% abv, and are priced at £19.99 for a 35cl bottle.

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle Ė which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
