Waitrose launches London drinks festival

05 August, 2016

Waitrose is running its first ever drinks festival in London next month in partnership with more than 200 producers.

The various themed rooms at the Institute of Engineering and Technology will offer guests the chance to sample a wide range of spirits, beers, ciders and wines, as well as food to soak it all up.

Confirmed suppliers include Hobgoblin, Meantime, Chase, Pedrino, Heineken and Sipsmith, with a roof terrace featuring bars hosted by Goose Island vodka, Codorniu and Mirabeau.

Anne Jones, category manager for BWS at Waitrose, said: “We’ve been wanting to do a customer event, with our favourite food and drink suppliers, for such a long time. It’s incredibly exciting that it’s finally happening. Our close relationship with suppliers means that we are able to open a fantastic range of tasting rooms, to provide Waitrose fans with the opportunity to try highlights from all of our ranges under one roof.”

Tickets are £25 per session and guests can learn to make their own gin, sample speciality food and meet the Waitrose BWS experts.
