Harpers offers independent retailers an all-expenses-paid trip to Rioja

Harpers is partnering with Wines from Rioja to offer independent retailers the chance of an all-expenses paid trip to some of the most respected and innovative bodegas in the beautiful Rioja region.       

The three-night trip will include estate visits and tasting slots with wineries seeking representation in the UK as well as those with existing UK distribution.

The tour of Rioja will also provide participating retailers with exclusive press coverage in both Harpers Wine & Spirits and Off Licence News.

Harpers will be accompanying the trip, giving you the opportunity to share your insights and discuss the region of Rioja in your business for editorial features in both publications.

As part of the overall package, retailers will also be benefit from participation in the Shop Rioja 2016 promotion, which will take place in October 2016.

Participants will receive a range of high-impact point-of-sales materials and will also have the opportunity to win some exclusive prizes from Wines from Rioja.

Retailers participating in Shop Rioja in 2015 saw a 151% uplift in like for like sales.

As with the trip, there will also be additional benefits in media coverage in Harpers and Off Licence News through involvement in the promotion.

The Wines from Rioja Tour will take place between March 15 and 18.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
