Volunteers sought to drink free whisky - no experience necessary

09 December, 2015

The University of Edinburgh is seeking 120 volunteers to drink whisky for a research project run in partnership with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Participants will be required to take a written test about their personality traits, and then taste a range of whisky samples.

The research is being led by Dr Adam Moore of the university’s department of psychology.

The experiment, dubbed Project Flavour Behaviour, will take place at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh on Wednesday, December 16.

No previous experience of whisky drinking is required.

Findings will be revealed over the course of 2016.
