Oxford Wine Co opens second café

16 April, 2015

Independent retailer the Oxford Wine Company is set to open a second café in the city this summer.

The venue, in the busy Jericho area, will offer coffee, light food and more than 150 wines, 28 of them available by the glass.

There will also be wine tastings and weekly jazz nights.

Oxford Wine Co opened its first café in Summertown in 2013, and said the move had been a success.

Owner and managing director Ted Sandbach said: “The opening of a second branch of The Oxford Wine Café is a logical step following the success of the first wine café in Summertown. The move balances our portfolio with retail, wholesale and on-trade and there is a great deal of synergy between all three operations as well as enhancing our name and presence in the centre of Oxford.”

The café is scheduled to open in late summer.
