Thatcher's revamps Old Rascal

15 January, 2015

Thatcher’s aims to build up distribution of its Old Rascal cider after giving it a design makeover and launching it in cans.

Single cans and 4x44cl multipacks will now sit alongside the 50cl bottles in the off-trade, while the new label gives more prominence to the fox that has always been synonymous with Old Rascal.

Martin Thatcher, fourth generation cidermaker at Thatchers Cider, said: “Old Rascal has been part of our portfolio for many years, and in many respects has been a hidden secret for too long.

“This cider has a loyal following – it’s a full bodied, premium cider that sees the character of the bittersweet apples shine through with a flavour to savour, yet at 4.5% it’s a cider that’s suited to social occasions.”
