Diageo brings back Pimm's No.6 Vodka Cup

30 October, 2014

Diageo has reversed its decision to axe Pimm’s No.6 Vodka Cup after fans of the drink apparently bombarded the supplier with demands for its return.

Diageo said consumers “flooded the team with emails, social media posts and good old-fashioned letters calling for a comeback”.

Senior Brand Manager Joanna Segesser said: “We take consumer feedback to heart, and we have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for Pimm’s No. 6 Vodka Cup. Pimm’s is an iconic British brand and we are delighted to be able to listen to the British public’s request to re-launch Pimm’s Vodka Cup.”

Pimm’s Vodka Cup was launched in 1964 and was the sixth variety of Pimm’s to hit shelves across the UK.

It will be available at “selected retailers” from the summer of 2015.

There's not going to be a campaign for that for much longer

The campaign name There’s A Beer For That may have got cynics like me trying to think of things there wasn’t a beer for, but broadly speaking it was a force for good.
