Les Grands Chais de France moves into Nimes

11 September, 2014

French supplier Les Grands Chais de France has snapped up the 59ha Château de la Tuilerie estate in the Costières de Nimes.

The purchase marks the group’s first venture into this region.

It said the estate’s wines are “renowned in France for being excellent examples of local indigenous grape varieties and for expressing the regional terroir”.

Tim North, UK director at Les Grands Chais de France, said: “We are really pleased with this prestigious addition to the Les Grands Chais de France portfolio of top-quality châteaux and domains.

“Currently the wines produced from the estate are mainly available in top-end on-trade establishments across France, and we are looking forward to working with the in-house wine-making team to identify further opportunities for these excellent wines both in France and on export markets.”
