JTI cuts price on Sterling rollies

29 August, 2014

JTI has cut prices on its Sterling Rolling Tobacco and given the brand a new look with new pack formats and rolling papers.

The packs have moved from portrait to landscape format and have a new tobacco leaf design, bringing them more into line with Sterling Ready Made Cigarettes.

The 9g, 20g and 50g packs will be price-marked at £2.99, £5.99 and £14.99 respectively, but there will also be non-price-marked packs with an rrp of £2.99 for 9g, £6.19 for 20g and £15.39 for 50g.

JTI communication head Jeremy Blackburn said: “As the trend towards value continues to grow, Sterling Rolling Tobacco will now offer even more quality and value for existing adult smokers from a well-established British brand. Lowering its price and providing additional rolling papers in a tobacco market driven by value will ensure this must-stock line continues to drive footfall for retailers.”

JTI has also extended its Sovereign range with Sovereign Menthol Superkings, rrp £6.50 for 19.
