Natch launches 'win your height in cider' competition

06 June, 2014

The Shepton Mallet Cider Mill has launched a competition giving one consumer the chance to win his or her height in cases of Natch dry cider.

The cider maker has this year produced the one-millionth can of Natch, and has marked the can with a unique code. The consumer who finds the code wins the prize.

The promotion will run on 8,000 cases of 50cl promotional cans of Natch to be sold in the off and on-trades in June and July.

Marketing manager Andy Cross said: “Natch is a west country legend with a strong following among cider lovers. Our new promotion, offering fans a chance to win their height in cases of Natch, is our way of celebrating Natch’s legendary status and rewarding our customer’s loyalty.

“Supported with a range of POS and advertising materials to generate excitement in pubs, bars and stores over the next months, the promotion will help maintain momentum for a brand that remains well-loved in the on and off-trade.”

The 5.2% cider is available in 50-litre kegs, 50cl cans and 1.13-litre and 2-litre PET bottles, as well as the two-pint flagon bottles it is traditionally served in in Bristol pubs.

The shops that stand out from the madding crowd

The judges met last week to sort out the winners in the independent categories of our 2018 Drinks Retailing Awards. The results are top secret until the awards dinner on February 6 but it’s giving nothing away to report that the overall standard of those that will be revealed in the shortlist of finalists in the January issue of DRN is higher than it’s ever been.
