Cloudy Bay teams up with Harvey Nichols

Cloudy Bay is hosting a sensory garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show for the second year running in a bid to teach consumers about the aromas and textures that make up the wine.

It will also run a bar serving Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to the show’s 157,000 visitors.

The garden will aim to highlight the terroir of New Zealand’s famous Marlborough region and the microclimates within it.

Once the show finishes, Cloudy Bay will parts of the garden to Knightsbridge to create the Harvey Nichols Cloudy Bay Terrace.

The Harvey Nichols restaurant team will create a special menu to match the Cloudy Bay portfolio and this promotion will run throughout June and July.

Maria Ines Pina, brand manager of Cloudy Bay, said: “The immersive nature of our garden at The Chelsea Flower Show offers a different way of interacting with our target consumer; a more theatrical way to bring Cloudy Bay wines to life to a vibrant, urbanite audience. Taking the garden to the iconic Harvey Nichols, will extend exposure to a wider audience over the busy summer months.”

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
