17 February, 2014

Melvin Ruigrok has taken over as general manager at Imperial Tobacco’s UK arm.

Ruigrok was general manager for Australasia before moving to the UK, and has had previous stints at the tobacco giant’s Dutch, Spanish and Czech divisions.

He said: “It’s an absolute honour to be appointed as the new GM of Imperial Tobacco Ltd; the UK business is known for its innovation, excellence in building brands and longstanding partnerships with the trade.

“It’s important to reiterate our commitment to our partners in delivering first-class products and representing and protecting their interests through ever changing regulatory pressures. Together, we will service our consumers and provide them with the best offers that they choose to enjoy.”
