US brewer Ruhstaller heads to the UK

11 February, 2014

The Californian microbrewery Ruhstaller is to launch in the UK for the first time, with five beers available from March 1.

The beers will be distributed through Left Coast Distribution and include a 6.5% coffee porter called the Sauce and Gilt Edge, a 4.8% pilsner.

The line-up also includes Capt, a 7.6% IPA named after brewery founder Captain Frank Ruhstaller, and 1881, a 5.5% red ale whose name refers to the year the company was established.

The UK portfolio is completed by Hop Sac, a 6% abv ale made with hops picked at the peak of ripeness and placed in the brew kettle on the same day.
