Gordon's launches elderflower gin

10 February, 2014

Diageo is introducing an elderflower version of its Gordonís gin. The launch follows that of Gordonís Crisp Cucumber a year ago.

There is also a premix can version co-branded with Schweppes tonic.

The launch of Gordonís Elderflower (rrp £16.11 for a 70cl bottle) is being backed by TV advertising from late March or early April.

Gordonís marketing manager Katerina Podtserkovskaya said: ďWith gin in strong growth, now is the perfect time to push the category forward even further with this new flavour launch.Ē

Richard Hemming MW: beware inverse snobbery

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle Ė which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
