Absolut launches Brazilian limited-edition

23 January, 2014

Pernod Ricard has released a limited-edition flavoured vodka called Absolut Karnival that is infused with passionfruit and orange blossom.

As the world prepares to focus on Brazil with the football World Cup looming, the drinks giant has decided to capitalise on the “transformative energy” of the South American nation’s carnivals.

The bottle is emblazoned with artwork by Brazilian graphic novelist Rafael Grampá, whose character-driven design aims to evoke the magic of carnival.

It will initially be exclusive to Selfridges from January 25, with an rrp of £34.99.

Pernod Ricard UK’s marketing controller Adam Boita said: “Grampá’s work is is disruptive, lively and authentic and as a native of Brazil he has experienced the transformative potential of Carnival first-hand his entire life.”
