Ginger Grouse in marketing push at rugby matches

01 November, 2013

Maxxium UK is planning a heavy marketing presence for its Ginger Grouse alcoholic ginger beer at the Murrayfield stadium in Edinburgh around this autumn’s Scotland rugby union internationals.

The activity will include bars, ads on the big screens, branding throughout the venue and handing out free branded beanie hats to spectators.

Fans will be able to take part in a “photography experience” in the main Ginger Grouse bar which will present them with a souvenir picture of themselves super-imposed on to the Murrayfield pitch.

The activity is part of a six-figure, three-sponsorship of Scottish rugby union by parent brand Famous Grouse whisky.

Ginger Grouse launched nationally in April and has listings in Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury and Tesco.

Scotland play Japan on November 8, South Africa on November 17 and Australia on November 23.

Agreeing to disagree

Disagreeing about wine is a fact of wine-trade life, like drugs in sport or corruption in politics. Because taste is entirely subjective, debates about our personal preferences are as inevitable as they are interminable. Indeed, these long-winded, wine-fuelled arguments are precisely what make our jobs so much fun.
