I Heart brand launches Valentine's Day push

Copestick Murray has launched a limited-edition variation of its I Heart brand to target romantic shoppers in the build-up to Valentine’s Day.

I ♥ You is a new version of the rosé in the current range, which hails from Cramele Recas in Romania.

There will be two versions of the new pack – one exclusive to Sainsbury’s, which is in-store from January 23, and the other exclusive to Budgens and Londis, which are both in-store from January 21.

The brand will also be doing advertising and sponsorship in FHM and Closer magazines for the first time, starting in January and February 2013.

Brand Manager Rachel Archer said: “After the great success of I ♥ GB Pinot Grigio and Merlot during the summer of 2012, we couldn’t wait to do our next limited-edition. 

“Valentine’s Day is so perfect for the brand as a whole and it’s great to do a special I ♥ You pack, keeping things interesting for retailers and consumers. 

“We also have some new additions to the range coming up, as well as listings in new markets, which is all adding to the buzz and excitement around the brand.”

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
