Toorank branches out into rums

06 September, 2012

Sloane’s gin producer Toorank Distilleries is entering the rum market with the launch of a range called Rebellion.

Rebellion Spiced will be the lead style for the range with a UK rrp of £16.99, and the company’s UK office will also be supplying Black and Blanco styles.

All three are bottled at 37.5% abv.

The launch is being backed by social media activity and a cocktail competition.

Chris Lake, director for sales for Toorank UK, said: “Having achieved a successful first 12 months with Sloane’s, we wanted to build on this momentum in developing our own spirits brands by entering the rum market.

“While the premium end of the mar- ket is full of great rums, the Rebellion range has been developed to cater for a growing demand among the trade for a return to fuller-tasting quality rums that can be used as an everyday pour.”
