IBC open for entries

30 March, 2012

The International Beer Challenge 2012 is now open for entries.

The competition will judged by an international panel of beer experts chaired by beer writer Jeff Evans.

They include retailers Nick Dolan of realale.com, Jim Helsby of the York Beer & Wine shop, and Sainsbury’s buyer Nicky Millington, along with writers Carl Kins, Adrian Tierney-Jones and John Porter, Adam Fenton of Flavour Active and Jasper Smith of the Oxford Bottled Beer Database.

The IBC has been rewarding and promoting excellent beers for the past 16 years, and in 2011 attracted entries from more than 30 countries.

It is open to all brewers, from the biggest global players to the smallest microbreweries.

Past winners include Weihenstephan, Samuel Adams, Wye Valley Brewery, Harveys of Lewes and Estrella Damm.

The IBC also includes a design and packaging award.

The deadline for entries is April 27.
