Holly Valance to front Foster's Gold campaign

Former Neighbours actress Holly Valance is to be the star of a TV and print ad campaign for Heineken UKís new Fosterís Gold lager.

Valance will join the Brad and Dan characters from the main Fosterís Good Call campaign.

The campaign message will be that the beer is perfect for men who want to impress on mixed sex drinking†occasions.

Fosterís marketing manager Gayle Harrison said:†ďLike Fosterís, Holly is down to earth and easy going but occasionally she wants to dress to impress, which makes her the perfect girl to launch Fosterís Gold.Ē

The 4.8% abv Fosterís Gold is being launched nationally from this month with the advertising to follow in late August.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle Ė which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
