Bourbon blitz for summer

30 June, 2011

Maker’s Mark bourbon is offering prizes of a personalised £5,000 wardrobe as part of a summer marketing blitz.

From July, bottles will feature neck-collars advertising the campaign, which is also running in selected bars under the banner Bourbon & Bespoke.

Last year the Maxxium UK brand targeted Shoreditch and Leeds with intense marketing activity and its attention will turn to Edinburgh in the coming weeks.

There will be high-profile advertising around the city, as well as sampling activity and events in on-trade venues.

A pop-up mini-bar in the form of a vending machine is going on tour to London, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Reading and Manchester.

For the first time, Maker’s Mark is investing heavily in social media, including Facebook and advertising on the Funny or Die website in July and on Spotify in August. A partnership with Top Table offers complimentary bourbon tastings at leading restaurants.
