Global Heineken ad hits the UK

A new global TV ad for Heineken is getting its first UK airing from today.

The Entrance campaign features the Danish pop group the Asteroids Galaxy Tour and will appear on TV in four versions, with a further 11 short films to be shown on the brand’s Facebook page and You Tube.

Julia Rodger, brand manager at Heineken UK, said: “The Entrance will be the second global Heineken ad to be shown on UK TV screens and follows the Walk in Fridge creative which launched last year.

“The brand’s worldy, open-minded and confident personality is perfectly-conveyed through this new campaign and the introduction of Heineken’s universal new strapline: Open Your World.”

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
