The police chief at the head of a scheme to tackle street drinking has told retailers that they have nothing to fear from taking cheap superstrength beers and lagers off their shelves.

An independent retailer is hoping to attract interest from other outlets to buy into his drinks delivery concept called Winebulance which it claims has grown sales by 25% in less than six months.

There's not going to be a campaign for that for much longer

The campaign name There’s A Beer For That may have got cynics like me trying to think of things there wasn’t a beer for, but broadly speaking it was a force for good.
