Cointreau has signed Dita Von Teese, the celebrity burlesque artist, as its new worldwide brand ambassador. The two-year deal will see the star featuring in forthcoming ad campaigns for the brand.

United Brands has won its first off-trade listing for Gosling's Black Seal Rum. It will be available in 236 Sainsbury's stores from Sept 30 priced at £14.99.

Beam Global UK has appointed Peter Sandström as marketing director for the UK and Ireland. Sandström has previously held a range of regional and national marketing roles with Diageo, including portfolio brand & innovation director for Southern Europe and most recently brand & global innovation director for Global Duty Free.

Beefeater's master distiller Desmond Payne has celebrated 40 years in the industry. Payne has worked at the Beefeater Distillery since 1994 and was recently involved in the brand's repositioning. His career began in Harrods' wine cellars, followed by a stint working for wine merchant and gin distiller Seager Evans & Co, before moving to the Plymouth Gin distillery in 1969.
