Cadbury boasts milk content

Cadbury Trebor Bassett is telling shoppers that Dairy Milk is the only chocolate to contain a glass and a half of milk with a new TV ad.

Forming the second phase of the company's £6.2 million marketing campaign, the TV ad is 1.5 minutes long - three times the length of a standard ad - and features a life-sized gorilla playing a drum kit.

An on-pack promotion called Win a Prize and a Half will run until March 8 2008 and offers consumers a chance to win one of 50,000 prizes, including tickets to a fashion show at New York Fashion Week, a shopping trip in Marrakesh or a salsa lesson in Havana. In-store POS will also be available to retailers.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
