Memorial service for Thierry

27 September, 2007

A memorial service for Thierry Cabanne will be held on Oct 5 at Romsey Abbey in Hampshire. The service will start at 12.30pm, and will be followed with a reception at nearby Broadlands. All are welcome to attend and full joining instructions can be found at http://www.thierrys.co.uk.

There will not be a dress code for the service, attendees are asked to come "dressed as you feel appropriate".

Thierry's has requested that flowers should not be sent, and asked that donations be made to the South African Pebbles project, which Cabanne supported. Cheques made out to the Pebbles Project can be sent to Thierry's, alternatively, contact sophia@pebblesproject.co.za.

Cabanne, who was chairman of Romsey-based Thierry's Wine Services, was a well-known and respected figure in the wine trade. His death in a car accident on Sept 13 has stunned the industry.
