Good Natured juice has Rainforest Alliance on its side

Good Natured is launching a range of environmentally-friendly fruit juices.

Containing fruit grown in the first Rainforest Alliance-certified citrus groves in the world, it has secured listings in Waitrose, Whole Foods Market and Fresh & Wild.

The range is available in two flavours - Pure Orange is made from 100 per cent Valencia oranges sourced from the Del Oro Farm in Costa Rica, while the Tropical Juice blends oranges with pineapples, mangoes and passion fruits. Both

1-litre cartons will carry the Rainforest Alliance logo and will retail for 1.79.

Good Natured's Greg Boyle said: "Consumers wishing to make an ethical purchase in the juice category have a limited range of products to choose from. We believe that the Rainforest Alliance's dedication to protecting ecosystems and the people and wildlife that depend on them will appeal to consumers."

The Rainforest Alliance is a non-government organisation that supports sustainable agriculture around the world.
