24 October, 2007

More than 70 wineries from Tuscany will be showing a selection of their wines at the Tuscany Tasting next month.

Organised by the Toscana Promozione and the Italian Trade Commission, the event at London’s Dorchester hotel aims to give an overview of the different styles produced in the region.

Areas that will be represented include San Gimignano, the Maremma coastal region, the Florentine hills, Arezzo, Carmignano, Chianti, the Lucca hills, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Elba.

Peter McCombie MW and consultant oenologist Barbara Tamburini will present a seminar and tutored tasting and there will also be presentation showing nine of the most highly-scoring wines from the Selezione dei Vini di Toscana.

The tasting will take place on Nov 14 from 10.30am to 6pm.
