World first claimed for new French gin

02 November, 2007

Eaux de Vie has added a premium French gin to its portfolio.

G'Vine is the world's first gin created from grape neutral spirit and the vine flower, according to Jean-Sébastien Robicquet and Bruno de Reilhac, the owner

of Cognac-based Euro Wine Gate.

The grape flower is hand-picked once a year in June and after maceration it is blended with

neutral spirit

made from Ugni Blanc grapes, which has been distilled with nine fresh whole fruit botanicals - ginger root, liquorice, green cardamom, cassia bark, coriander, juniper berries, cubeb berries, nutmeg and lime.
