New ad for Artois brands

InBev UK is launching a 60-second TV ad designed to promote the brewing heritage of the Artois brands Stella, Peeterman and Bock.

The ad, which uses the strapline Pass On Something Good, is set in a French-speaking village pub and shows members of the community helping each other out in different ways.

Marketing director Devin Kelly said: “This commercial maintains the tradition of stunning cinematography that has been the hallmark of the brand’s advertising excellence for many years. It also supports La Famille Artois range of beers and captures the warmth and wit people associate with Artois.”

The campaign is to run until mid-December, and InBev is backing it with a new chalice glass, which it says keeps beer 23 per cent colder than other pint glasses after 10 minutes. It has also launched a three-tier training programme for retailers and bar staff – L’Academie Artois.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
