Ricard resigns from executive role

Pernod Ricardís chairman and chief executive Patrick Ricard is resigning from his executive role at the end of the 2007/08 financial year.

The position of chairman and chief executive will be split so Ricard can retain his position of chairman of the French drinks groupís board of directors. Ricard has recommended Pierre Pringuet, managing director since 2000, for the chief executive role. The change will come into effect at the close of the next general meeting on Nov 5 2008.
