How low can you go?

11 January, 2008

The lowering of alcohol content should be welcomed . What a crazy world we live in - not allowing the sale of Sovio wines with very low alcohol content just does not make any sense.

Thank you for publishing this important news, I hope the authorities will now take notice and reverse this ridiculous decision.

Fast-food and take-away outlets sell alcohol, too

With the constant media pressure on under-age drinking, binge drinking and supermarket deals, something has been forgotten. Can you please comment on all the pizza and kebab shops that are giving free booze away?

These shops also sell beer, lager and wine to be delivered as an additional service.

Does anyone remember when the milkman tried to do this? Comments please.

Also, Asda selling Dom Pérignon at £30. There are two Asdas in Sheffield - one had no stock at all and the other had six bottles. Sheffield has a population of 600,000, so this means the offer is one bottle per 100,000 people. You'd be better off spending £30 on the lottery.
