Scots triumph with modern classics

St Andrew's -based wine merchant Luvians Bottle shop has taken top prize in a promotion called

Modern Classics, organised by Chilean winery Anakena.

The prize is a trip for two to Chile, including a visit to Anakena's winery. The merchant beat 55 other independent wine merchants, restaurants and wholesalers

for its outstanding sales increase and promotional activity over

three month s.

Anakena's UK agents Stratford's managed the promotion. Entrants received a significant support package comprising marketing and

POS materials, price discounts to enable customer offers and in-store or in-restaurant tastings with the Stratford's team.



manager Raul Beckdorf said: "Well done Luvians Bottle shop. The whole team has worked really hard to bring Anakena and Chile to life

and the results have been tremendous. It's great to see the impact this promotion has had on

the participating businesses. Through Stratford's

we will continue to work closely with independent and restaurant sectors to provide all the resources they need to show the quality and diversity of Anakena wines."

Owner of Luvians' Bottle shop Vince Fusaro said: "We're over the moon. Having promotional materials like these and learning more about the Anakena range has made a real impact on sales. I have been able to pass on what I've learnt to customers and they have responded really positively."


10 next -best performers in the promotion all receive a hamper

and a further 20 independent stores will receive runners-up prizes of Anakena-branded clothing.
