Yellow Tail helps singles find their perfect partner

Australian wine brand Yellow Tail has teamed up with social events company Grape Vine Social to sponsor a series of wine tasting events for singletons.

The events will take place this month and March in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Bristol with a view to finding attendees their perfect wine and their ideal partner.

At each event, 50 single professionals with an interest in wine will be given the chance to blind taste six Yellow Tail wines among like-minded people.

Keith Fisken, senior brand manager at Yellow Tail owner Casella Wines said: “Our link with this sponsorship reflects the ripe, up-front flavours of our wines, and our view that wine should be easy to drink and a source of enjoyment and sociability."

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
