Zara Phillips has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Chivas Regal, which will see her participate in a number of Scotch

whisky events around the world. Phillips' first appearance saw her take part in the Chivas Snow Golf Championships in St Moritz. Brand director Sophie Gallois said: "Zara is the perfect fit for Chivas Regal and we are absolutely thrilled to be working with her. She is a successful, glamorous and vibrant award-winning sportswoman who embodies the aspirational lifestyle that Chivas Regal consumers respond to and, like Chivas Regal, is the epitome of style, substance and exclusivity."

The Famous Grouse Scotch whisky has had its royal warrant renewed for another five years. The royal warrant, issued to suppliers whose products have been used by a member of the royal family for five years, is regarded as a mark of excellence and allows the holder to display the royal coat of arms and the words "by appointment" on the product's label. It is reviewed every five years and can be revoked at any time.

Chambord is marketing itself as an alternative to "predictable" Valentine's Day gifts. The blackberry and raspberry -based liqueur comes in a 20cl orb -shaped bottle and has an rrp of £5.99. It can be drunk on its own or blended in a cocktail.


Employees at Scotch whisky producer Gordon & MacPhail have been rewarded for serving the company for a total of 541 years. Twenty-three members of staff working for the distiller for more than 10 years were given gifts to mark their commitment. Last year employee Jean Mackintosh became the first to be recognised for serving the company for 40 years.

Southern Comfort is hosting a SoCo Social Mardi Gras night in London on Feb 13.
