Nestlé offers consumers cash prizes

Nestlé Rowntree

has launch ed an on-pack promotion giving consumers the chance to win £20 in cash.

Running across Nestlé's core brands, consumers will have 100,000 opportunities to win £20 by texting unique codes found inside wrappers.

Graham Walker, trade communications manager, said: "This is a motivating promotion for retailers and consumers . We know

that text-to-win promotions work well, especially those with simple mechanics that tell consumers instantly if they have won or lost.

"Now is the perfect time of year to be offering consumers a little extra cash. Retailers should take this opportunity to site dumpbins in high footfall areas to ensure they drive maximum sales."

The promotion is running on packs of KitKat 4 Finger Milk, KitKat 4 Finger Dark, KitKat Chunky Milk, KitKat Chunky Peanut Butter, Rowntree's Fruit Pastilles, Rowntree's Fruit Gums and Aero Milk Bar.

Nestlé has created a range of premium Easter eggs targeted at adults. The Aero Milk Bubbles Gift Experience Egg contains a gift certificate that can be exchanged for a range of activities including a facial, manicure or massage, and the KitKat Gift Experience Egg offers experiences including golf and canoeing lessons. Both will retail for £4.99.

Picture the scene. You put your key in the keyhole, shove the door with your shoulder, drop your bags and look down. There, beaming up at you, is some relative or friend’s smug postcard with sandy beaches, Piña Coladas and palm trees (or, these days, an in nity pool and a detox smoothie) with a literal or metaphorical “wish you were here” written large.
