Senses make sense for lovers of KitKat

Nestlé Rowntree is targeting health-conscious

women with

a lower-calorie version of its traditional KitKat .

KitKat Senses is a chocolate wafer biscuit bar with a hazelnut praline centre. A 31g bar contains 165 calories.

Nestlé is investing £9 million in

marketing

the new variant,

kick ing off on April 7 with a five-week burst of TV ads. It is also planning a major magazine partnership, online activity, PR and a 1.5 million bar sampling campaign.

Senses will be on shelf from March 1 with a n rrp of 45p. A five-pack will retail for £1.39.

The joys of January

Of all the months of the year, January has the best intentions. It reminds me of Eddie in Ab Fab, late for work, horribly hungover, coming down the stairs in oversized sunglasses to frumpy Saffy sitting at the kitchen table. “Health, health, health, darling!” she sings. But the illusion doesn't last for long.
