Highland Spring chief executive Joe Beeston OBE has died. Beeston, who joined the Perthshire-based company in 1992, died in hospital on Feb 25 surrounded by family following a battle with lung cancer. Beeston was awarded an OBE for services to the soft drinks industry in Scotland in the Queen's Birthday Honours

List in 2005. Les Montgomery, acting chief executive, said: "He was a much-loved boss who was passionate about Highland Spring and totally committed to the wellbeing of the staff in Blackford."

Nestlé Rowntree has announced the return of the blue Smartie. It will join Smartie s' no artificial colours and flavours line-up, and its comeback will be advertised through a £1.5 million marketing campaign that includes TV ads running with the strapline Blue is Back.

Red Bull's Flugtag is coming to London's Hyde Park on June 7. The man-powered flight competition will feature 40 teams attempting to take flight in flying machines they have designed and built themselves. The event will be supported by TV ads and coverage.
