Russian Standard launches TV ads

First Drinks Brands will be launching a six week TV ad campaign for Russian Standard vodka this month as part of an £8 million marketing investment into the brand.

The 20-second ads, which are designed to highlight the brand’s Russian heritage will break on March 17 on all commercial terrestrial channels.

First Drinks Brands said it hopes the ads, costing £2.6 million, will cement Russian Standard’s position as a major player in the UK premium vodka market.

Andy Corris, senior brand manager for Russian Standard at First Drinks Brands, said: “The core task for Russian Standard is to build on the success of the launch and continue to establish a brand proposition within the market.

“Throughout 2008, Russian Standard will be looking to differentiate itself from its close competitors in terms of taste and brand experience by focusing on its unique attributes – authentic Russian heritage, flavour and unparalleled smoothness.”
