Chilean winery relaunches in UK

Australian subsidiary De Bortoli Wines UK has signed a joint distribution agreement with Viña Undurraga, one of Chile's oldest wineries.

De Bortoli will act as a route to market for the Undurraga portfolio. The Chilean winery has also appointed a national sales director for the UK, Cristian Isbej. José Yuraszeck, managing director for Undurraga, said: " I believe

this venture between an Australian and a Chilean winery, although rare in the

industry, is also very promising for both companies. We have many common interests and we are looking forward to mutually benefit from this joint venture ."

John Thorne, on behalf of De Bortoli UK,

said: "We see this partnership as key to providing great opportunit ies for both companies and look forward to working together . Our portfolios uniquely compl ement each other through a diversity of styles and a common thread of quality at every level."

The wines will be available in the UK from the end of this month.
