Corky's latches on to café society

Global Brands has added a cappuccino variant to its Corky's range.

Corky's Cappuccino is the

tenth flavour to be released under the vodka shot brand and will be available to the off-trade from this Easter.

The latest offering is aimed at older consumers to drink as an aperitif, a straight shot or as an addition to coffee. It

has 17% abv and will be sold in 70cl bottles.

Steve Perez, managing director at Global Brands, said: " The brand continues to grow and as customers continue to support it and be loyal to us, we will support them by introducing NPD."

Corky's also comes in Apple, Cherry, Toffee, White Chocolate, Blueberry, Cola Cube, Cream Egg, Chocolate Orange and Glacier Mint flavours.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
