21 March, 2008

South of Fr ance co-operative Mont Tauch has launched

its Rugby Challenge 2008. The tag rugby event, now in its second year, is being held over the weekend of June 14 and 15 in Tuchan, France.

Players are drawn from all sectors of the UK wine trade to pitch their skills against the tough competition of the Mont Tauch growers.

Last year saw Michel Marty, head wine-maker at Mont Tauch, lead his team of experienced growers, Les Vêtes Noires, to victory. Marty said: " We look forward to taking on the UK wine trade and press again and

to challenging them to blend their own Fitou, which will be tasted and the winner chosen by the growers."
