Published:  04 April, 2008

Red Bull is entering the cola market with the launch of Simply Cola - a drink made from 100% natural sources.

It will be available in the UK from the end of April, with 35cl cans for the off-trade and 25cl cans for the on-trade.

Red Bull Simply Cola claims to be the only cola which contains both the original kola nut and coca leaf, and contains no preservatives, additives, phosphoric acid, artificial colour s or flavours.

"This is an incredibly exciting innovation for Red Bull and a fantastic addition to our portfolio," said Red Bull managing director Nigel Trood.

"It may have been unexpected, but we're quite fond of surprising people and we thought it was about time we refreshed the cola category. It has taken us years to create a product that we felt was of the highest quality and worthy of the Red Bull name," he added.
