Provocative underwear gives Pinky a lift

18 April, 2008

Whyte & Mackay has teamed up with lingerie brand Agent Provocateur to promote its Pinky Vodka.

A sampling campaign will see Pinky cocktails being served to customers at Agent Provocateur's 13 stores across the UK.

Calling cards will be left at each event to let people know which shops stock the vodka and how to make their own cocktails at home.

The brand has also taken centre stage at an Agent Provocateur exhibition,

where underwear models served Pinky to celebrity guests, including Sadie Frost.

Premium brand director Rosslynn Law said: "As Pinky is a beautiful vodka created especially for women, it is only fitting that we work alongside another brand that celebrates the female form.

"Agent Provocateur is a smart and sexy brand that emanates style and luxury. Its fans include Kate Moss and Maggie Gyllenhaal and, with a following of several thousand sexy young women, it gives Pinky a great opportunity to align itself with the female market."

Made in Scandinavia, Pinky is hand-blended with violets, rose petals and wild strawberries.

Talking terroir

When Bordeaux was in fashion, it seemed almost logical that we should fetishise winemakers. Here were people responsible for brilliant acts of blending, across large estates and multiple grape varieties, including superstars such as cabernet sauvignon and merlot. These days, fashion has moved on and pinot noir is ascendant. As a result, the star of the winemaker has fallen and we find ourselves following a new star in the sky: terroir.
