Brewery takes aim with centenary ale

02 May, 2008

Oxfordshire brewer Hook Norton has teamed up with the British Association of Shooting & Conservation to brew a beer to mark its centenary.

Double Barrelled is a 4.3 % abv ale which will be available in bottles and cask.

The bottle goes on sale from June 1 and a 5p donation from the sale of each one will go to the BASC.

The initial production run will be 10,000 bottles.

Hook Norton managing director James Clarke said: "Being a rural, independent brewer with an interest in conservation it is important that we aid organisations like the BASC wherever possible."
