Carling sponsors 600 movies on ITV

Coors Brewers is putting £2 million into a Carling sponsorship of movies on ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4.

The 12-month deal will cover 600 films and include online and mobile ads on the brand's current You Know Who Your Mates Are theme. It includes the latest instalment of the campaign, Cowboys.

Carling brand director Martin Coyle said: "It's a great opportunity to take the ad creative into a wide-reaching through-the-line campaign."

Yan Li, senior sponsorship executive at ITV customer relations, added: "The audience profile and brand fit are a perfect match."

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
