United Biscuits UK is backing the launch of its McVitie's Yumbles range with a £500,000 marketing push. Activity will include radio ads and a link-up with the Daily Mail, which will offer readers the chance to sample the organic biscuits range.

Lambert & Butler has produced a special edition holographic pack to mark 10 years as one of the leading cigarette brands in the UK. Imperial Tobacco claims the pack is the first of its kind for a tobacco product in the UK market. Two special edition Lambert & Butler tins are also being produced for sale at music festivals.

Shloer is sponsoring Living TV's So You Think You Can Dance and the pregnancy website bounty.com. Both sponsorships will feature a new advertising strapline, Everything You Could Wish For, which is being introduced to coincide with the brand's 70th birthday celebrations.

SodaStream is launching a

range of drinks makers and healthier conc entrates as it looks to update its brand. The new fla vours contain 66 % fruit juice concentrate and water and come in 50cl bottles in Tropical, Orchard Fruits, Autumn Fruits, Apple and Cherry & Apple f lavours.

Few things can bring communal pleasure so intimately as wine. Apart from a hot tub, perhaps. Sport can trigger mass jubilation, film gives us shared empathy, but wine has a nigh-unique ability to bestow conviviality among us through a shared bottle – which makes it especially galling that we spend so much time divided over it.
