PLB for Vinos de Familia

PLB has been named UK agent for Vinos de Familia, the wine arm of J García Carrión, which it says is Spain's biggest wine and fruit juice producer. PLB will be distributing brands such as Mayor de Castilla, Pata Negra, Don Simon and Antaño, and wines from 10 DOs including Rueda, Rioja and La Mancha.

Shape of things to come

A report from Berry Bros & Rudd forecasts that countries such as China, Poland and Canada will be moving up the world wine rankings over the next 50 years as global warming shapes the industry. The Future of Wine report also foresees a day when France could lose its position as the world's leading fine wine producer, with India most likely to take up the mantle.
