United unleashes monster coupon

13 June, 2008

United Biscuits is offering consumers the chance to download a 30p money-off coupon to help drive the trial of its Go Ahead brand.

The promotion is part of a summer campaign that includes a TV ad for new variant Yoghurt Breaks. Running until the end of August, it features a hungry woman tempted by a puppet monster to eat an ice cream. After she chooses the healthier option, the ad finishes with the tagline: "Go Ahead. Good thinking."

Commercial manager Nick Stuart said: "The launch

will ensure

the Go Ahead

brand remains the UK's leading healthier snack, relevant to its target audience, and will drive sales. In the last year, these have grown by 29%, making it the

must-stock healthier snacking range."

The 30p money-off coupon can be downloaded at goahead.co.uk.

United has also become the sponsor of the snacks and biscuits sections on shopmax.co.uk , which offers retailers category advice, including bespoke biscuit and snack planograms, and top tips on how best to merchandise stock.
